Build-A-Computer

Build-A-Computer is a one-hour, 6 session program that covers topics such as, but not limited to, the basics of a hardware and software, and the structure of a computer system (i.e. the motherboard, video cards and operating systems). Participants may be able to set up a basic computer system, install software and drivers, and resolve conflicts using basic troubleshooting techniques by the end of the six sessions.

This class can also be geared towards the first-time computer user, those who want a better understanding of the basics, or towards anyone who has not grown up with a personal computer and now needs to acquire the same assuredness of the younger “internet-surfing” generation. This is also a great way to expose youth to hands-on engineering skills and experience they have probably never had before!
